Kaw Valley Sand and Gravel, Inc. is initially incorporated by founder Ben Kates

1986

1986

Wrecking is added to the list of the services offered by Kaw Valley.

1990

1990

Joey Kates becomes VP of Kaw Valley Demolition and Excavating

1993

Summer 1993

The Great Flood shut down all operations at Kaw Valley. Despite widespread devastation in the area, major efforts went into a quick recovery and Kaw Valley resumed operations just two weeks later. 

2005

Spring 2005

Kaw Valley Inc. main office relocated to 5600 Kansas Avenue, Kansas city, KS 66109.

2006

June 2006

Kaw Valley Inc., acquired 56 acres where our Industrial Sand Plant is now located, establishing our 3rd Kaw Valley location.

2016

2016

Founder, Ben Kates retires. Joey Kates becomes CEO and Tim Kates becomes President.
